Sue was second in the competition for a public sculpture in County
Monaghan, Ireland.She flew there twice and enjoyed meeting the local people who would have been involved.Setting up the project and its complex detail was very good experience!

=> Update: Queen returned
The Sculpture of the Queen, "A quick Walk before work" has been returned by the local Histon Police to the Artist.
Tthere seems to have been a tip of, after the local and national media and press reported about her loss. A so far unnamed person is said to have been charged.

A great thank you, to the Press and the Police for returning the sculpture to the Artist.

Sue Kafka-Ellis and her daughter Emily have finished casting their sculpture in Bavaria (Photos => Herbich's foundry) and are about to drive across to be back in Cambridge for the families/artists exhibition.The picture shows the biggest bronze and the team who helped make it.It was cast in the Philippines and came by sea to be worked on and patinated in Bavaria.
